Ceremony in the Colombian Congress
Included in the programme of his State Visit to Colombia, the President of the Republic was received in the Colombian Congress, in Bogotá, where he delivered a speech.
Having walked from Casa de Nariño – the Presidential Palace – to the Capitol, where the Congress has its headquarters, President Cavaco Silva was received by the President of the Senate, Roy Barreras, and by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Augusto Posada, with whom he later met on his own.
After this meeting, and already in the Hall of Congress, the President of the Senate welcomed the President of the Republic after which he addressed his speech.
