Meeting of the Supreme Council for National Defence

The Supreme Council for National Defence met, in an ordinary session, presided over by the President of the Republic.

A Communiqué was published at the end of the meeting, which was held in the Palace of Belém.

Following is the text of the Communiqué:

“The Supreme Council for National Defence met, in an ordinary session, having dealt with administrative matters related to the discharge and appointment of military representatives in organizations in which Portugal is a member.

The Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff stated the situation of the Military Detachments in foreign countries, which was followed by an analysis of features related with the nature and duration of their missions”
