The President of the Republic addressed a message to the Portuguese Football Federation congratulating the National Team on their performance in the EURO 2012 European Football Championship.
Following is the text of the message sent by President Cavaco Silva:
“At the time when the National Football Team has concluded its participation in EURO 2012 European Championship, I want to congratulate all its members for the ranking achieved.
The presence of our team in the final stages of EURO 2012, that brought about the pride of the fans and of the Portuguese in general, dignified Football and honoured national Sports.
I want to congratulate the players, the technical team and the officers of the Portuguese Football Federation for the dedication and drive demonstrated, wishing them all the best of success in sports and in their personal wellbeing.
