The Presidency of the Republic publishes the following communiqué:
"A weekly newspaper published on this date an item headed "Cavaco against a Government reduced to 10 ministers”, which was not even consistent with the news item itself. The President of the Republic fully and categorically denies any positioning that might be attributable to him, with respect to the size or structure of any future government and reasserts his strict impartiality with regard to the electoral campaign now under way."
