The President of the Republic empowers the new Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff, General Luís Evangelista Esteves de Araújo, on 7 February next, at 12.00 hours, in the Palace of Belém.
General Luís Araújo has performed the duties of the Chief of the Air Force general Staff since 18 December 2006, and his office extended for a further two years in December 2009.
Next Friday, 4 February, at 15.00 hours, the President of the Republic receives, in audience, General Luís Araújo.
