The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the Brazilian President Dilma Roussef, concerning the victims of the floods occurred in Brazil.
Following is the text of the message of condolences addressed by President Aníbal Cavaco Silva:
"Madam President,
It was with great regret that I received the news of the tragic effects of the heavy rainfall that has affected vast regions of Brazil, which resulted in a large number of victims and enormous material losses.
In this moment of difficulties and great challenges I wish to address Your Excellency, the fraternal people of Brazil and, very specially, the victims’ families, our feelings of deepest grief and solidarity.
