At the invitation of the President of the Republic, the Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta will carry out a State Visit to Portugal, from 23 to 25 November 2010.
The Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Fra' Matthew Festing, will be received, in the Palace of Belém, by the President of the Republic, who will host a Banquet in his honour, to be held in the Palace of Ajuda.
The Official Programme will also include meetings with the Speaker of Parliament and with the Prime Minister, as well as a visit to the Headquarters of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries, where a Cooperation Agreement between the Sovereign Order of Malta and the CPLP will be signed.
