President of the Republic congratulated Portuguese judoka Telma Monteiro, for having been awarded the title of World Vice-Champion

The President of the Republic addressed a congratulatory message to judoka Telma Monteiro, who obtained the title of World Vice-Champion.

Following is the text of the President’s message:

"Upon having obtained the title of judo vice-champion, for the third time, in the -57 Kg category, in the Tokyo World Championship, Telma Monteiro musters a further brilliant result to her already impressive record, which brings to this Portuguese athlete a top world class position in this sport. For this reason it is fair that I congratulate Telma Monteiro for this further eminent result, bringing prestige to National sportsmanship.
