March Past in the City of Lisbon Avenue
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended, in the City of Praia, the Military March Past commemorative of the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of Cape Verde, in which a platoon of cadets of the Portuguese Naval School took part, as well as five Portuguese paratroopers who jumped to land in the capital of Cape Verde.
Later, the President and Mrs. Cavaco Silva were the guests of honour at a Commemorative Reception, which was hosted by the Cape Verde Head of State, Pedro Pires in the Presidential Palace.
