At the beginning of the second day of the 4th Campaign of the Innovatory Local Communities, dedicated to the West Lisbon Metropolitan Area, the President of the Republic visited the Social Suburb Quarters of Outurela-Portela, in the county of Oeiras.
The first stage of the visit was the Mother Maria Clara Residential Unit, where President Aníbal Cavaco Silva followed through several areas of Institution’s Day Centre. At the end, the President of the Association presented the President of the Republic with Association’s silver medal.
Later, the President walked to the Carlos Queiroz Sports Complex, visiting the pavilion where young handball players of the Assomada Association presented him with a sweater, after which he went round to the complex’s football pitch.
