President commenced 4th Campaign in the Route to the Innovatory Local Communities with a visit to a school in Parede

At the beginning of the 4th Campaign in the Route to the Innovatory Local Communities, the President of the Republic visited in Parede, county of Cascais, the 31 January School Association, where he met with individualities connected to the institution and with many of its students.

President Aníbal Cavaco Silva followed the Association’s annual chess competition, in which some 300 of the school’s students took part.

Later, the President went to the Our Lady of Boa Nova Community Centre, in Galiza, county of Cascais, where he visited the aged peoples handicraft workshop, the social companies installed there, as well as examining the remaining activities of the Centre.

Later, in Alcabideche, he visited the DNA Cascais Agency, an association which promotes entrepreneurship, especially concerning young people and social affairs, through encouraging the development of knowledge and skills through the stimulus of creativity and innovation, creating company nurseries, banks of ideas and respective competitions, management clinics, professional training courses and information and training actions.
