The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the President of the federal Republic of Brazil, regarding the floods occurred in the country’s Northeast States.
Following is the text of the message:
"Mister President and Dear Friend,
Upon being advised of the tragic effects of the floods occurred in some of Brazil’s Northeast States, especially in Alagoas and Pernambuco, I wish to convey to Your Excellency, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name our deeply heartfelt solidarity, equally requesting that Your Excellency be kind enough to so convey to the victims’ families and to those that lost their goods and chattels.
