Coimbra University Hospitals
Concluding a programme dedicated to the large transplant units in Portugal, the President of the Republic visited, in the Coimbra University Hospitals, the Histocompatibility and Heart and Chest Surgery Centres.
President Aníbal Cavaco Silva visited the main laboratories of the Histocompatibility Centre, following later to the heart and chest surgery unit where, in the intensive care unit and in the Daily Hospital, he met several transplant patients.
The visit ended with a session in the auditorium of the Coimbra University Hospitals, during which the President of the Republic also delivered a speech.
