The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to his Indian counterpart, Pratibha Patil, over the victims of the aircraft accident in Mangalore.
Following is the text of the message addressed by the President of the Republic:
"Madam President,
It was with deep sadness that I learnt of the tragic aircraft accident occurred in Mangalore.
In this hour of mourning for all the People of India, I wish to address Your Excellency and to the victims’ families, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our very deepest regrets and solidarity and most sincere condolences.
