Tournament of solidarity supports social inclusion

President gives high patronage to the "Taça Portugal Solidário" tournament in which CerciGrândola is the beneficiary

The President of the Republic was present at the start of the “Taça Portugal Solidário” (Portugal in Solidarity Cup) golf tournament in Quinta do Lago, Almancil, to which he has given his high patronage. All funds raised from the financial contributions made by sponsoring companies to the participating teams will be donated to CerciGrândola, C.R.L. (a cooperative for the education and rehabilitation of unadapted citizens).

During the dinner held to award the prizes for the tournament, President Cavaco Silva gave the President of CerciGrândola a cheque for an amount to bolster the financial requirements of a residence for handicapped persons, which should be completed in 2008.
