Enterprising innovation under view
At the beginning of a new Route, dedicated to the Local Innovatory Communities, the President of the Republic visited the Flex 2000 Company, a subsidiary of the Cordex Group located in the Ovar Industrial Zone, which carried out the innovatory production of flexible polyurethane foam and exports three quarters of its volume of production.
Another company, manufacturer of natural cork stoppers with a high technological input and which also exports the greater part of its production – Cork Supply, of Santa Maria da Feira – was also visited by President Aníbal Cavaco Silva, who was shown the Innocork patented technology, developed jointly with Lisbon University’s School of Engineering (Instituto Superior Técnico).
