President congratulates Tunisian counterpart Ben Ali on his re-election
The President of the Republic addressed a message of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, upon his re-election to the Presidency.
Following is the text of the congratulatory message of President Aníbal Cavaco Silva:
"Mister President
Having been advised of Your Excellency’s expressive re-election as President of the Republic of Tunisia, I wish to address you, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our sincere congratulations and wishes for success.
I am certain that, in the exercise of Your Excellency’s new mandate, we will find renewed opportunities to deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation which link our two countries, for the benefit of both our Peoples.
Renewing my sincere congratulations, I beg you to accept, Mister President, my very highest regards and personal esteem.
Aníbal Cavaco Silva"
