President in Viseu
The President of the Republic presided at the opening of the 617th edition of the S. Mateus Fair, in Viseu, which will be open to the public until 21 September.
He later visited the fair’s precinct and viewed of the exhibition area of the Viseu County Council, as well as the stand of the Dão Region Viticulture Commission.
Prior to this the President of the Republic had presided at the inaugural act of the Exhibition “Art, Power and Religion in Mediaeval Times”, held in the Grão Vasco Museum, included in the celebrations of the 900th Anniversary of King D. Afonso Henriques.
