Group welcomed in Presidential Office
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva hosted a group of members of the National Centre for Culture which, in one of their usual Sunday Tours, visited the Palace of Belém.
After a welcoming ceremony in the Sala das Bicas (Hall of Fountains), President Aníbal Cavaco Silva guided the group through a series of reception halls which included the Sala Dourada (Golden Hall), the Sala Império (Empire Hall) and the Sala dos Embaixadores (Hall of the Ambassadors), providing details as to the functions of each, after which the visitors were shown the Presidential Office and the Audience Hall. The visit ended in the Palace terrace.
