"Wings of Portugal" in aerial manoeuvres

Viana do Castelo witnessed exercises and activities of the three branches of the Armed Forces

Prior to the official celebrations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, in Viana do Castelo, the city welcomed a number of exercises performed by the three branches of the Armed Forces, with several thousands of people attending.

Exhibitions by the “Wings of Portugal” and by the “Rotors of Portugal”, flight simulator, maritime rescue simulator, pools for diving baptisms, escalating, sliding and rappel tower, static exhibition of equipment, presentation of the of the “Mafra Dressage” (haute école), equitation baptisms, presentations with war dogs, presentation of special gymnastics classes from the Military Academy of the Military School, as well as performances by the three bands of the Armed Forces, were some of the activities on show to visitors in the Jardim Marginal (Riverside Garden) and Praça da Liberdade (Freedom Square) in Viana do Castelo.
