President Cavaco Silva explains his use of the public word in the foreword to the book “Roteiros II” (“Routes II”)

The second volume of “Roteiros” contains the more relevant written speeches delivered by the President of the Republic during the second year of his mandate, from 9 March, 2007.

In the foreword to this publication, the President of the Republic states his understanding of the use of one of his most important working tools: the public word.

The book comprises five chapters in 392 pages, several annexes and the steps of the President’s agenda throughout his second year of office and has dozens of illustrations.

“Portugal in Full”, “Economy and Sustainable Growth”, “Development and Social Cohesion”, “Health, Education, Science and Culture”, and “Portugal in Europe and in the World”, are the headings of the books’ five chapters.

The book will have a circulation of 3,000 copies, and was printed in Munken Lynx paper, produced with environmentally friendly methods certified by the “Forest Stewardship Council”.

A digital presentation of the book is available in this official site of the Presidency of the Republic on the Internet, through “Direct Presidency” in the main menu and under the heading “Articles”.
