Prize for Innovatory Entrepreneurship in the Portuguese Diaspora
COTEC Portugal, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, has launched the first edition of the Prize for Innovatory Entrepreneurship in the Portuguese Diaspora. The prize will be awarded by the President on June 10.
The main purpose of this prize is to distinguish Portuguese citizens for their entrepreneurial, innovative and responsible contribution in the welcoming countries, and especially the members of the new communities of Lusitanian talent that Portugal has exported all over the World in latter years. The prize will be awarded by the President of the Republic on June 10, the National Day of Portugal, of Camões and of the Portuguese Communities.
As stated by the President of the Awarding Jury, Filipe de Botton “The winners of the Prize are the expression of Portugal in the world, in line with the most relevant Portuguese deeds throughout our History, made up of a spirit of sacrifice, adaptation, creativity, humanist values and the capacity to overcome great challenges. Portugal has a History which was carried out away from its geographic origin, which is visible by the numerous symbols and trade marks in many places in the world. It is with this spirit of openness, of searching, of understanding and of cultural valuation of what is different, that we want to reassert Portugal’s universal vocation in a global world”.
Filipe de Botton adds: “With the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, this prize is the symbol of the Lusitanian talent and its relevance in the development of the welcoming countries and, as such, in the reassertion of Portugal’s image in a more than ever global world”.
COTEC Portugal wants to celebrate Portugal in the World, inviting all the Portuguese in the Diaspora to associate themselves to this initiative. Candidacies will be accepted until March 31.
