The fast development of Information and Communication Technologies is constantly posing us with new challenges. New means are placed at our disposal to ensure an improved dialogue in modern societies.
We have to be ready to respond to such challenges and to find new solutions for the needs of communication which we all share.
We have to know how to take advantage of the innovative technological tools placed at our disposal.
As you are aware I greatly value these new means of communication and the development of the underlying technologies.
It is in this context that the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, with an already firm presence in the Internet, is from now on accessible to a greater number of information disseminating communities, especially through audiovisual means.
