The President of the Republic addressed a message of congratulations to driver Miguel Oliveira, who achieved the title of world Moto3 vice-champion.
Following is the text of the message from President Cavaco Silva:
“Upon receiving the news that you have achieved the title of world Moto3 vice-champion, after a notable season signalled by six triumphs, I wish to congratulate for the high sporting spirit you have shown and by the drive that has characterized your path and your already extraordinary career.
The victories you have achieved, resulting from the effort and dedication you place on your sports activities, are a good omen for the new challenge you have provided yourself, to face next year’s world Moto2 championship, thus featuring Portugal’s name in the upper crust of motorcycling.
Please accept, in my own personal name and on behalf of the Portuguese, my congratulations and sincere wishes for personal happiness and sporting results.
