It is with great sadness for the sudden decease of the Member of the European Parliament Fausto Correia that I offer his family my deepest condolences.
An outstanding personality of our national democracy, Fausto Correia shared his professional activities between journalism and politics and held several public offices, amongst them Member of Parliament, Secretary of State for Public Administration and Parliamentary Affairs and director on the board of RDP - Radiodifusão Portuguesa (Portuguese Radio Broadcasting Company).
His premature decease is a great loss to the Portuguese representation in the European Parliament and to the political and civic life of our Country.
