President congratulated Under-19 National Football Team for the second place obtained in the European Championship

The President of the Republic sent a congratulatory message to the Under-19 National Football Team , who achieved second place in the European Championship, played in Hungary.

Following is the text of the message from President Cavaco Silva:

“My congratulations go forward to all the members of the Under-19 National Football Team upon completion of their participation in the European Championship, held in Hungary, in which they achieved the second place.

The presence of the Under-19 Team in this European Final, the filled with pride their adepts and the Portuguese in general, dignified Football and nonoured national Sports.

I congratulate these young athletes, this new generation, upon their drive, their excelente performance and for the contribution they have given towards the international projection of our Country.

I congratulate players, technicians and the officers of the Portuguese Football Federation for the dedication and drive shown, wishing them all the best personal well- being and sports achievements.
