The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to King Harald V of Norway over the victims of the outrage occurred today in the centre of Oslo.

Following is the text of the message of condolences addressed by President Aníbal Cavaco Silva:

“Majesty,

I was deeply dismayed by the news of the tragic and cowardly attempt committed today, in Oslo, which deserves our strongest condemnation and rejection.

In this hour of suffering and mourning I wish to express to Your Majesty and to the victims’ families, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our deepest feelings of grief and solidarity.
