Congratulatory message from the President of the Republic addressed to Manuel de Freitas on the occasion of his being invested as a member of the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa

The President of the Republic sent a congratulatory message to Manuel de Freitas, on the occasion of his being invested as a member of the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa.

The text of the message is as follows:


“I am pleased to congratulate you upon being elected as a member of the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa.

I know that your election was received with great enthusiasm by the Portuguese and Luso-Descendant community.

I have always defended greater civic and political involvement of Luso-Descendants as a relevant factor of the integration and appreciation of the community.

Please accept my best wishes for success in the exercise of your mandate.
