The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the Family of Vasco Granja.

Following is the text of the President’s message:

“On behalf of the people of Portugal and in my own personal name I address deepest condolences to the Family of Vasco Granja.

Vasco Granja was, for many generations, the public face of comics and cartoons. Through his writings and his programmes, many were the young people who came into contact and learnt to appreciate different types of animation.

It is thus fit that, in this hour of mourning, I should pay my tribute to a communicator whose passion was culture and who, for that reason, deserves the respect of all those who accompanied his personal and professional path
