Madam President
On the occasion of Your Excellency’s election as President of the Argentinean Republic, I wish to address you, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our warmest congratulations and best wishes for success in the discharge of the important duties you have been chosen to perform.
I am certain that during Your Excellency’s mandate, the close relations of friendship and cooperation which link Portugal and Argentina will continue to deepen and develop, for the benefit of our two countries and their peoples.
Renewing my wishes for your personal happiness and for the prosperity and progress of the People of Argentina, please accept, Madam President, my deepest respects.
