"Investment and Partnerships"
President Aníbal Cavaco Silva and his Czech counterpart, Václav Klaus, attended the inaugural session of the Entrepreneurial Meeting Portugal-Czech Republic, based on the theme “Investment and Partnerships”, with the presence of entrepreneurs from both countries.

The President of the Czech Republic, Václav Klaus, and his Wife, Livia Klausová, hosted a State banquet in honour of the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, who are on an official visit to Prague.
Meeting with Members of Parliament
The President of the Republic held a meeting in Prague with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Miloslav Vlcek, in the headquarters of the lower chamber of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The President was accompanied by the Portuguese members of Parliament included in the retinue of his visit to Prague.
Former City Hall
The President of the Republic was honoured by the Prague City Council, and awarded the gold key to the city by the Mayor, Pavel Bém.
Crossing the historic bridge
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva crossed over Charles Bridge in Prague’s historical centre, the oldest in the city, built in the beginning of the XV century, and which links the two margins of the Moldau River.
Meeting with Premysl Sobotka
Within the programme of his State Visit to the Czech Republic, the President of the Republic visited the Senate of the Czech Parliament, where he was received by the Speaker, Premysl Sobotka, who later hosted luncheon in Valdstejnsky Palace, in honour of the Portuguese Head of State and Mrs. Cavaco Silva.
Ceremonies in Prague Castle
At the formal beginning of the State Visit to the Czech Republic, the President of the Republic met, in Prague Castle, with his counterpart Václav Klaus, after a welcoming ceremony during which he was awarded military honours.
Arrival in Prague
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva arrived in Prague to begin a three day Visit of State to the Czech Republic at the invitation of the Czech President, Václav Klaus.

Decoration in Belém
The President of the Republic decorated, with the degree of Commander of the Military Order of Aviz, Major Carlos Paulino, who will be leaving his office as Field Adjutant to the President, to command Flying Squadron 552 and the Acrobatic Patrol Rotors of Portugal, at Air Base No. 11, in Beja.
