Cerimony at the Fort of Bom Sucesso
The President of the Republic presided at the commemorative ceremonies of the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the War in Africa, where he paid tribute to those that died in combat, placed a wreath of flowers on the Monument to the Combatant and delivered an address allusive to the occasion.
Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will hold an Official Visit to Portugal on 28, 29 and 30 March.
Arrival at the Palace of Belém
After taking his oath of office in Parliament, the President of the Republic headed for the Palace of Belém, where he was received with military honours presented by the Presidential Squadron of the National Republican Guard, and the compliments of the members of his Civil and Military Staff as well as those of the Presidential staff.
