Presentation of proposal for the composition of the Government
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the nominated Prime Minister, Dr. Pedro Passos Coelho, who presented the proposal for the composition of the XIX Constitutional Government.

The President of the Republic decorated with the degree of Officer of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator, Commissioner Gonçalo Ramalho, who will relinquish the office of Deputy to the Security Services of the Presidency of the Republic.
Once the parliamentary political parties had been heard, and taking into consideration the results of the legislative elections held on 5 June and the coalition agreement established between the Social Democrat Party and the Social Democrat Centre – Popular Party, the President of the Republic nominated today the President of the Political Committee of the Social Democrat Party, Dr. Pedro Passos Coelho, to assume the office of Prime Minister.
