The President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rosen Plevneliev, will be holding a State Visit to Portugal, on 2 and 3 November, responding to the invitation addressed by President Cavaco Silva during the latter’s visit to Bulgaria in June ultimo.
The visit will commence on 2 November, with the laying of a wreath on the tomb of Luis Vaz de Camões, in Jerónimos Monastery.
The Bulgarian President will then be received, in the Palace of Belém, by the President of the Republic, followed by a working meeting between the two Heads of State.
This day’s programme also includes meetings with the Prime Minister and the Speaker of Parliament and a ceremony in Lisbon City Hall when the Bulgarian President will be presented with the Key to the City of Lisbon by the Mayor. The day will end with a State dinner.
On 3 November, the President of Bulgaria will promote, jointly with AICEP (Portuguese Export and Investment Agency), a meeting with Portuguese entrepreneurs and will later visit the Centre for Research Into the Unknown of the Champalimaud Foundation.
