Municipal Stadium
The President of the Republic visited the County of Moimenta da Beira where, in the Parish of Peva, he inaugurated the Home for the Aged “Our Home” of the Social Solidarity Association of the village of S. Martinho.
The Távora Agricultural Cooperative Society, together with the visit to the Terras do Demo Sparkling and Still Wine Cellars, were the following stage of the displacement to the County, which also included the ornamental stone production facilities of Polimagra – Granitos, S.A.
Later, in the village’s Sports Grounds, President Cavaco Silva presided at the inaugural act of the Municipal Stadium, heard the children of the Moimenta da Beira Basic School sing the National Anthem, after which they accompanied the President on foot to their School, which the President also opened officially.
After a visit to the school rooms and library of the educational establishment, the President of the Republic delivered an address in a commemorative session to the visit to the County.
