Closure of international meeting
The President of the Republic closed the international conference “Portugal in the European and Worldwide Balance of Power”, which he promoted in Lisbon, within the scope of Routes to the Future initiative, stressing the challenges the country is facing in its external relationships.
In the Conference’s afternoon session, the focus was on the Eastern, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and European Routes.
Speakers included the Portuguese Vasco Rocha Vieira, Emílio Rui Vilar, Jaime Gama, Maria João Rodrigues and Álvaro Vasconcelos, as well as the Chinese University lecturer Ming K. Chan, the former Secretary General of the Arab League, Egyptian Amre Moussa, and the former Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ana Palácio.
The President of the Republic delivered a closing speech.
