The President of the Republic of Mozambique, Armando Guebuza, and his Wife, Mrs. Maria da Luz Guebuza, will visit Portugal from 1 to 3 July, at the invitation of President Cavaco Silva.
On 1 July, the President of the Republic of Mozambique and his Wife will be received in the Palace of Belém by the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, this being followed by a working meeting between the two Heads of State.
At the end of the same day, a State Dinner will be held in Ajuda National Palace, in honour of the President of the Republic of Mozambique and his Wife.
Also oin 1 July, the President of Mozambique will be received by the Speaker of Parliament and by the Prime Minister who will later host him at luncheon.
The programme of the visit also includes, on 2 July, the granting of the Key to the City of Lisbon to the President of Mozambique, in the City Hall, by the Lisbon Mayor and, on 3 July, a visit to the Champalimaud Foundation.
The Mozambican President will also preside at the opening of an economic seminar, together with the Portuguese Prime Minister.
On his visit to Portugal, President Armando Guebuza will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, by the Minister of Public Works and Housing, by the Minister of the Presidency for Parliamentary Affairs, Local Authorities and Provincial Assemblies, by the Minister of Industry and Commerce and by the Minister of Transport and Communications.
