State Visit to Portugal of the President of the Republic of Mozambique

The President of the Republic of Mozambique and his Wife, Mrs. Isaura Nyusi, will hold a State Visit to Portugal from 15 to 17 July instant, at the invitation of President Cavaco Silva.

The official programme of the visit will begin, on 16 July, with the laying of a wreath on the tomb of Luis Vaz de Camões, in Jerónimos Monastery.

The Mozambican President and his Wife will then be received, in the Palace of Belém, by the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, this to be followed by a working meeting between the two Heads of State.

That day’s programme will also include meetings with the Prime Minister and the Speaker of Parliament, and by a ceremony comprising the presentation of the Key to the City of Lisbon, to be held in the City Hall, by the Mayor of Lisbon. The day’s programme will end with a State Dinner.

A Business Forum is planned to be held on 17 July, as well as a visit to the exhibition “1975-2015-A Retrospective of 40 Years of Mozambican Independence – Mozambican Artists in Portugal”, in the National Fine Arts Society, in Lisbon.

In his visit to Portugal, the retinue of the President of the Republic of Mozambique will include members of the Mozambican Government, members of Parliament and a large number of entrepreneurs.
