Ceremony in Figueira da Foz
President Cavaco Silva presided, in Figueira da Foz City Hall, to the Commemorative Ceremony of the 125th Anniversary of its becoming a City, where he addressed a speech.
Prior to this he had placed a wreath on the Statue of the Centenary, and visited four centenary institutions: Ginásio Clube Figueirense (Figueira da Foz Sports Club, Misericórdia Obra da Figueira (Almshouse Works of Figueira), Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários (Voluntary Fire workers Association) and Assembleia Figueirense (Figueira Assembly).
