Foreword of the Book “Routes IX”
On the anniversary of the empowerment for his second mandate, on 9 March, the President of the Republic discloses the Foreword to “Routes IX”, which brings together his main public addresses throughout the last year.
In the Foreword, President Cavaco Silva presents a reflexion on Presidential Diplomacy, considering that, in the beginning of this 21st century, a strengthening has been displayed of the role of the President of the Republic in the field of foreign policy, this seeming to be, nowadays, one of the main functions of the Head of State.
