National teams in training
During a trip to the county of Anadia, the President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act of the Sangalhos Educational Centre and visited the Anadia High Sports Performance Centre.
After viewing the modern educational facilities in the parish of Sangalhos and having contacted students, parents and teachers of the various educational levels, President Cavaco Silva visited the High Sports Performance Centre, where the national velodrome is located.
Athletes from national teams specializing in several Olympic sports, who train in that Centre, displayed their specialities. The President equally viewed the evolution of foreign athletes who had chosen the modern sports facilities existing in Anadia for their personal improvement.
During a session dedicated to his presence, the President address a speech to the local authorities, leaders of the several sports federations and athletes who had attended the gathering.
