Tony Tan Keng Yam received in Belém
At the beginning of the State Visit he is holding in Portugal, the President of the Republic of Singapore, Tony Tan Keng Yam, met with President Cavaco Silva in the Palace of Belém.
After visiting Jerónimos Monastery, where he laid a wreath on the tomb of Luiz Vaz de Camões, the President of the Republic of Singapore headed to the Palace of Belém, where he was received with military honours.
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva then held a meeting with the President of Singapore and Mrs. Mary Tan, this being followed by a meeting between the two Heads of State together with the respective retinues.
At the end of the meeting, the two Presidents held a joint press conference.
