Ceremony in the Palace of Belém
The President of the Republic decorated football player and captain of the National Team, Cristiano Ronaldo, with the grade of Grand Officer of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator, in a ceremony held in the Palace of Belém.
In the Hall of Fountains, after addressing a speech, President Cavaco Silva bestowed the insignia of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator on Cristiano Ronaldo, who then spoke expressing his appreciation for the decoration awarded.
The ceremony included the presence of several individualities representing official and sports bodies, as well as the leaders of the Portuguese Soccer Federation.
