Prize awarded to Claudio Magris
The President of the Republic presided at the Award Ceremony of the Helena Vaz da Silva European Prize for Dissemination of Cultural Heritage, which was held in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon.
This trophy is the joint initiative of Europa Nostra, of the National Centre for Culture and by the Portuguese Press Club. In this first edition, the prize was awarded to Italian author Claudio Magris. President Cavaco Silva delivered an address on the occasion.
