Decoration Ceremony
The President of the Republic decorated the City of Guimarães and four individualities related to Higher Education, in a ceremony held in the Palace of Belém during which he delivered an address.
The City of Guimarães was distinguished with the rank of Honorary Member of the Military Order of Sant’Iago da Espada.
Professor Doctor Luis Francisco Valente de Oliveira was decorated with the Grand Cross of the Order of Public Education, Professor António Coimbra de Matos with the rank of Grand Officer of the Order of Public Education, Prof. Doctor Isabel Cottinelli Telmo was equally decorated as Grand Officer of the Order of Public Education, and Professor Doctor Antero Lopes Martins with the rank of Grand Officer of Entrepreneurial Merit, Class of Agricultural Merit.
