The President of the Republic will undertake official visits to Colombia and Peru, at the invitation of his respective counterparts, from April 15 to April 19, instant.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied on these visits by several members of the Government and by representatives of the Parliamentary Political Parties, as well as by an entrepreneurial delegation, which will be joined, in Bogotá and in Lima, by Portuguese entrepreneurs, either resident or with activities in those countries.
During the visit to Colombia, the President of the Republic will hold with his counterpart, Juan Manuel Santos, a meeting which will be joined by the respective delegations, and will also visit the Congress of the Republic where he will be received by the Presidents of the Senate and of the Chamber of Representatives – and equally to the Supreme Court of Justice where he will be welcomed by the respective President.
Together with his Colombian counterpart, the President of the Republic will preside at the closing session of the Entrepreneurial Seminar, which will have occurred with the presence of entrepreneurs from both countries. The programme of the visit will also include the inaugural act, presided by Presidents Cavaco Silva and Juan Manuel Santos, of the Bogotá International Book Fair, where Portugal will, in this year’s edition, be the Guest of Honour.
The President of the Republic will also hold a meeting with the Portuguese Community resident in Bogotá, and will be received by the City’s Mayor.
When in Peru, the President of the Republic will be received by his counterpart, Ollanta Humala, with whom he will later hold a meeting together with both Countries’ delegations. He will also visit the Lima City Council.
The President of the Republic will preside at the closure of an Economic Seminar, held with the presence of Portuguese and Peruvian entrepreneurs and, before the end of the visit, will meet with the Portuguese Community resident in Peru.
