Meting in Rome
The President of the Republic, on his visit to Rome to attend the ceremonies initiating the Pontificate of Pope Francis, met, in the Church of St. Anthony, the Portuguese clerics residing in the Italian capital.
Received by the Rector, Monsignor Agostinho Borges, President Cavaco Silva visited the temple and heard a performance on the Church’s symphony organ, by organist Giampaulo di Rosa, before he met with the Portuguese clerics.
After the meeting, and still in the quarters of St. Anthony’s Portuguese Institute, Mrs. Cavaco Silva conversed with several Italian students that are attending Portuguese language lessons in the location.
