In the terms of item h) of article No. 133 of the Constitution, the President of the Republic accepted the proposal presented by the Prime Minister for the discharge, at their request, of the Secretary of State for Local Administration and Administrative Reform, Eng. Paulo Simões Júlio, of the Secretary of State for Employment, Prof. Doctor Pedro Miguel Silva Martins, of the Secretary of State for Entrepreneurialism, Competitiveness and Innovation, Dr. Carlos Nuno Oliveira, of the Secretary of State for Tourism, Dr. Cecília Meireles, of the Secretary of State for Forestry and Rural Development, Eng. Daniel Campelo, and of the Secretary of State for the Environment and Country Planning, Dr. Pedro Afonso de Paulo.

In the terms of the same constitutional provision, the President of the Republic accepted the proposal of the Prime Minister for the appointment of Dr. Ana Rita Gomes Barosa for the office of Secretary of State for Local Administration and Administrative Reform, of Dr. António Pedro Roque da Visitação Oliveira for the office of Secretary of State for Employment, of Dr. Franquelim Fernando Garcia Alves for the office of Secretary of State for Entrepreneurialism, Competitiveness and Innovation, of Master Adolfo Miguel Baptista Mesquita Nunes for the office of Secretary of State for Tourism, of Prof. Doctor Francisco Ramos Lopes Gomes da Silva for the office of Secretary of State for Forestry and Rural Development, of Dr. Paulo Guilherme da Silva Lemos for the office of Secretary of State for the Environment and Country Planning, and of Prof. Doctor Alexandre Nuno Vaz Baptista de Vieira e Brito for the office of Secretary of State for Food and Agribusiness Investigation.

The President of the Republic will empower the new members of the Government tomorrow, 1st February, at 17:00 hours, in the Palace of Belém.
