Total Judo and Social Judo
The President of the Republic held a Christmas visit to one of the areas where, in Lisbon, the Total Judo and Social Judo projects are under way, meeting the athletes and trainers taking part in this inclusive sports programme.
Approximately one hundred athletes of all age brackets, some of them handicapped, took part in exhibiting their capabilities in this sport, held in the Lapa Sports Facility.
Two judoists, one of which blind, provided their personal sports experience, after which President and Mrs. Cavaco Silva graded three judoists, presenting them with the belts corresponding to each grade.
