The President of the Republic of Poland, Bronislaw Komorowski, and his Wife, Mrs. Anna Komorowski, will hold a State Visit to Portugal on 19 and 20 April, at the invitation of President Aníbal Cavaco Silva.
The official programme of the visit will commence on 19 April with the laying of a wreath by President Bronislaw Komorowski on the tomb of Luis Vaz de Camões in the Jerónimos Monastery. President Bronislaw Komorowski and his Wife will be received, in the Palace of Belém, by the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, this being followed by a working meeting between the two Heads of State.
On the afternoon of 19 April, President Bronislaw Komorowski and his Wife will preside at the inaugural act of a bust of Frédéric Chopin, in Liberdade Avenue. The programme of the first day will end with a State Banquet, in Ajuda Palace, hosted by the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, in honour of the President of the Republic of Poland and his Wife.
On the second day of the visit, the President of the Republic will attend, with the President of the Republic of Poland, the opening of a session of an Entrepreneurial Forum, where business opportunities will be approached, as well as strategies for the strengthening of entrepreneurial cooperation between both countries. This will be followed by the presentation of the Key to the City of Lisbon to President Bronislaw Komorowski, in the City Hall, by the Mayor of Lisbon.
The programme for April 20 will also include an audience of the President of the Republic of Poland with the Prime Minister who will then host a luncheon in his honour in S. Bento Palace.
On the afternoon of April 20, President Bronislaw Komorowski will travel to Porto, where he will be welcomed by the City’s Mayor. The visit’s official programme will end with a reception hosted by the President of the Republic of Poland and his Wife in honour of the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, which will be held at Serralves.
In his visit to Portugal, the President of the Republic of Poland will be accompanied by several members of the Polish Government and by a meaningful entrepreneurial delegation.
